Rude staff
The workers there made me laugh and customized my order perfectly.
The coffee was the best I've ever had, and the gluten-free buns they use have great texture and taste!
Was overcharged and very poorly attended to.Linda, who was working the registrar, was not listening to us when we were ordering. She continuously interrupted me while I ordered and proceeded to give me attitude about why I wasn't telling her my order. My boyfriend and I got one drink each and payed in meal swipes. She swiped our card four times, which I thought was strange. It should have only been two swipes. I asked her why she swiped our card four times, and received the answer, "you thought I swiped four times, but I swiped two," blatantly disregarding the fact that my boyfriend and I were watching her make the transaction. We checked the meal swipe balance afterwards, and three swipes were deducted. I never got my food, so that's about $30 for two coffees. Absolutely ridiculous.
Turnaround for drinks is fairly quick even when they're swamped, but hot sandwiches take a little longer. Occasionally have my drink order lost in the chaos if it's busy, but they're quick to catch their mistake and make it right away.
Mmm, coffee!Okay, where was I? Oh yes, Peet's. Got my inspiration for all things cafe with Peet's. Great location! And their honey latte is to die for! The downside? It's pricey. Pricier than Starbucks. But the quality's there, and it's definitely worth the splurge!
One of my favorite coffees.
Nice brews. Love the selections.
A typical Peet's Coffee location. Reasonably priced drinks and snacks with friendly service. You know what you are going to get at a chain coffee store, and this location is no exception. It can get a little crowded so make sure to avoid the rush if possible.
I went to this place last week and tried their Iced Honey Latte and it was so good, the sweetness was just right and their egg & cheddar was good partner with it. Perfect combination. So delicious! Price was just right. Service was fine. Definitely recommend.
NYU
Peets is the most underrated dining option at NYU. Unlike Starbucks, you can get food and coffee for a meal-swipe (of course, you can also use dining dollars or campus cash). The staff is extremely kind, very attentive, and they play really good music. The coffee drinks are delicious, and beat Starbucks on taste, price, and level of caffeine per cup. It is also right next to the Kimmel terrace which is gorgeous when the weather is nice. I wish I could give six stars.
Awesome coffee, nice snacks!
Delicious toast and great coffee. Huge drinks menu. Nice spot. Recommend the Milky Way. Their bread and condensed milk go together perfectly!
LOVE ALL THE STAFF , CAPUCCINO WAS THE BEST
Great
The staff is the best part of this spot. Hilarious, kind, and loving. The coffee is good too.
I really liked this place they had great coffee :). The staff is very friendly as well! #Love their glass of espresso. yeah it's true, Life starts here.
It's hard to notice, but it's apparent once you're inside NYU's famous Kimmel center. They usually have 1 register closed in the morning so arrive 5 minutes early if you intend to use this cafe. Otherwise, it's pretty quaint, there's plenty of seating, and it's usually never crowded. It's typical, but that's the way it should be.
The coffee was great, and so was the price. Went on a week day, so it wasn't too busy. Service was good.
